Kalynn Durkiewicz

Kalynn was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. Her dad was a United Airlines pilot and her mom was a flight attendant so she had been around aviation her entire life. She was just a few months old for her first flight. She graduated from Chandler High School in 2009 where she participated in theatre and various clubs. Following graduation Kalynn began college courses at Northern Arizona University as well as Chandler Gilbert Community College majoring in psychology. During that time she entered into the childcare industry working as a nanny for various families over a span of 12 years. Kalynn married her high school sweetheart in 2017 and they have a son named Jett. She and her husband, Casey have been foster parents for babies who need a loving home since 2020. She loves being active in the foster community and finds it very rewarding. She enjoys spending time with her family, and traveling- especially to visit her sister in Nashville.

Favorite Airplane: Honda Jet and the Pilatus PC-24.

Best Aviation Moment:I have many but it would be when I was about 7 years old and was on my first flight where my dad was the pilot. We took pictures of him and me in the cockpit and it was so cool. Another was when I flew in the Honda Jet for the first time with my Uncle and Dad as the pilots of the plane!

Outside of the office: You can find me spending time with my husband and our kids along with our siblings as much as possible. Also I love attending my husband’s baseball games (where he serves as a high school coach.)
